My son, Evan, who is 9 years old is not doing so great this year in school. As some of you might know, he has ADHD, which is really difficult for him and for us and for his teachers. We've been working with his doctor to get it under control and we've come really close, but now I feel like we're starting over again. We just switched his medication yesterday due to the lack of progress with the old medication. It's almost like he starts becoming immune. He's on the lowest dose of this new medication because we have to start each one slowly. In five days we're increasing the dose to the next level and I really hope it works better than this low dose. In just the last few days we've had to speak to his teacher and the principal of his school. This week is MEAP week, which is not the best time for a medication change, but we didn't have any way of knowing when the prescription was written last month. I feel so bad for him. I hope we can figure this out and get his medication right so he can live a normal life without always feeling like he's in trouble.
