Happy New Year to everyone in the blogging world, those of you who are simply passing by, and my nearest and dearest friends and family. I feel very fortunate as this year comes to an end. I have to admit I'm pretty happy that the "bad" stuff of 2005 is behind me and I am looking forward to the wonderful things ahead.

There are several movies that I am really looking forward to seeing. This is one of them. The first one was outstanding. From what I've seen of the trailer, the second will be just as good. I also want to see this movie. Silent Hill has been an incredible game - every installment. I can't wait to see what they do with it on the big screen. I am so excited about this movie. The first two were incredible and I can only hope that the third will be awesome.

I can't think of the others right now. I am far too tired. I just got home from a long day at work and have to be back at work by eight tomorrow. Blah. I am really tired of the whole "end of the month" bullshit. Oh, well. There isn't much I can do about it.

Jeremy, his brother, Ryan, Jamie and one of his friends, Joshua, went to Pine Knob today to go snowboarding. I would never do anything like that. I hate winter. I think snow is absolutely dreadful. I don't consider spending a day on a snow-filled hill the slightest bit entertaining. Jeremy has managed to call several times throughout the day. Apparently his brother took a spill within the first hour they were there. Poor guy. He was going to go back out and ski instead of snowboard, but I guess he decided against it. So, he has been sitting inside for the past six hours. I feel so bad for him. Jeremy called me after I left work this evening to say how tired he was and how he'd like to come home now, but of course my son is no where to be found. He and his friend took off to tackle the larger runs and haven't come back yet. Poor Jeremy and Ryan. I imagine they would both love to skip the long drive home and be here already.

Jeremy and I finished watching the 3rd season of Nip/Tuck last night. It was a good season! Slightly stranger than the first two, but fantastic. Jeremy guessed who "the carver" was within the first two episodes. He's such a brat.

Most of the world has today off. Not me. I stupidly volunteered to work today in exchange for a paid day off at the beginning of the month. Boy, do I ever regret it now. I could still be sleeping. I could wake up in a few hours and spend the day with Jeremy, Jamie and Evan. But no, I had to be greedy at the beginning of the month. I'll never do that again.

I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope your day has been as fantastic as mine. Check out my new sneakers. Aren't they great?

The mailman brought our most anticipated gift today - the 3rd season of Nip/Tuck. I can't wait until our Christmas Eve "reunion" is over so I can jump into my pj's and pop in the first disk.

Season 3 of Nip/Tuck was shipped out yesterday via priority mail. Hopefully we will have it tomorrow or Saturday and be able to spend a good portion of Saturday and Sunday nights watching it. Jeremy and I were tempted to watch the finale this past Tuesday night. In fact, we turned it on for about 2.5 minutes, but then decided we needed to be patient and watch the season in order.

As my sister so lovingly referred to me... I am the non-blogging blogger. I have been either too busy or too sick lately. I thought I was getting over the sickness, but woke up on Monday feeling like death. I worked most of the day, but left early to pay a visit to my doctor before she skipped town for the holiday. I haven't been back to work since. I doubt I will be going in tomorrow either. My supervisor said "just make sure you are here Friday so you don't lose your vacation pay." I really need to get better soon. I'm not even done with my Christmas shopping yet!

Last weekend was spent mostly at holiday parties. Saturday we went to Jeremy's family party at his aunt's house and Sunday was spent at my sister's. I had a great time at both, but it didn't leave much time for my last minute shopping. I'll be shopping on Christmas Eve this year. It will have to be done before my family "reunion" which takes place from late afternoon until evening. I call it a reunion because it's about the only time of the year that I see aunts, uncles and cousins now.

Jeremy told his entire family last weekend that we are getting married next year. Yes, you read correctly. Jeremy and I are getting married in 2006. We have a tentative date in mind, but I'm not sure if we can get it all planned by then. We'll just have to wait and see. I will be sure to keep you all up to date.

Thanks to the incredibly informative comment left by my sister, we will have the 3rd season of Nip/Tuck on dvd in our mailbox by the 24th of December. Jeremy and I are very excited! We can start watching season three a week after it ends on tv. We are such dorks. eBay is such a wonderful thing.

Jeremy and I are addicted to yet another show - Nip/Tuck. When the show originally hit the screen a few years ago I watched an episode or two, but I hadn't seen an episode since. That is.. until Jeremy noticed that we had the first two seasons on dvd - which I'm quite certain was loaned to my father by my sister.

Would you like to know what the really bad thing about watching tv on dvd is? We just finished watching the last episode of season two and now have nothing more to watch. Season three is on tv now and is almost over. I can't wait for the next season to hit dvd! Is there anyone out there that has taped the third season thus far? I'll pay good money. *grin*

I can't believe Christmas is only thirteen days away. I am SO not ready for it this year. I only have half of my shopping done so far. I need more time!

So, I neglected to mention that I made it to the theater a time or two during my mini-vacation.

The three of us went to see the most recent Harry Potter movie on Sunday. It was the darkest installment yet. A couple of times I leaned over to make sure Evan was alright. He was, of course, but I had to ask. Very much worth the money.

Jeremy and I managed to escape for a few hours on Monday to see Aeon Flux. It was better than I anticipated after learning that Charlize Theron was playing the lead. It wasn't overly fantastic, but it was quite entertaining and I wasn't disappointed that we dropped the cash to see it at the theater.

Well, I have to go back to work today. Blah. I've really enjoyed not working the past five days. I'm not looking forward to going back - especially since I am sick. Jeremy and I have been sick the last few days. It's not been too horrible up until today. I woke up feeling absolutely awful. The "sickness" has moved into my chest now. That's never a good thing. Hopefully it will go away soon.

Jeremy and I have been playing Resident Evil 4 again. I don't think we ever actually beat the game the first time around. Anyway, I downloaded a few desktops with the RE theme. Here is my favorite from RE3. Nemesis is the shit.

Jeremy and I took my laptop to the Apple store today. We anticipated having to leave it for at least a week - as the guy told me when I called a month or so ago. Luckily we didn't have to. The "tech" fixed it in the store while we had a nice lunch at Max & Erma's. It's like brand new again. I'm a very happy girl.

After working thirty-one hours over the last three days I am happy to announce that this is "day one" of five consecutive days off. Jeremy and I are going to The Night 89x Stole Christmas show this evening. That's about it for today. We slept in until eleven. Apparently I needed the sleep after working all those hours. At least I know I won't be tired for the concert.
