last night
We ended up watching the season premier of Tori & Dean last night after the Red Wings. My husband made the comment "this show is dumb" several times, but I think he will tolerate it enough to watch it with me.
And can I just say... Let's Go Red Wings! That was one helluva game last night... and we're going to the Stanley Cup finals once again!

new season
I am so happy that I was watching the Oxygen channel the other night because I wouldn't have remembered to set up Tori & Dean on my new HD DVR if I hadn't seen the preview. The first episode of the new season was aired last night. I probably won't have a chance to watch it until the weekend because the Red Wings are playing tonight, but at least it's recorded and waiting for me. This season I am forcing my husband to watch it with me =)

sick and slacking
My husband recently pointed out that I haven't blogged in almost 2 weeks. It's amazing how quickly time flies by when so much is going on. Between the kids and work and then being sick the past 5 days.. I hadn't even noticed. I would probably be more likely to want to post something if I had my camera back from the repair shop and could post some pictures, but who knows when it will be returned to us. I do have more pictures from Elizabeth's baptism (the party after the baptism) and some from Jeremy's uncle's 60th birthday (both taken with my sister-in-law's camera) so I will post those when I am feeling a little better.

2 month check up
Elizabeth had her 2 month check up today. We decided to break up her shots so she got 2 shots (1 in each leg) and one oral vaccination. I just looked up Gabby's 2 month visit and we let them give her all 4 shots at one time. What were we thinking? So Elizabeth goes back in 3 weeks for the other two shots.
Here are her stats at 10 weeks:
10 lbs 12 ounces, 22 1/4 inches long, head is 38.5
And her previous stats:
04/16/09 (6 weeks) 8 lbs 5 ounces
04/09/09 (5 weeks) 7 lbs 10 ounces, 21.5 inches long, head is 36 cm's
03/19/09 (2 weeks old) 7 lbs 3 ounces, 20 1/4 inches long, head is 35.5 cm's
03/09/09 (4 days old) 7 lbs 2 ounces, 19.5 inches long and her head was 33.5 cm's
03/05/09 (at birth) 7 lbs 9 ounces, 19.5 inches long

big news
Elizabeth, at 9 weeks old, just rolled from her back to her tummy! Wow.. that's earlier than Gabrielle! She was a few days shy of 4 months old when she did that. Incredible.

Pictures
My husband is awesome! Did you notice the post he wrote this morning? I love him and my kids. It's been a wonderful Mother's day.
Since my girls are napping I thought I would take this time to post some recent pictures. Most of them are from Elizabeth's baptism last Sunday. The last two are just pictures that I took at home. She is 2 months old now. Look at that smile!

american idol
Jeremy and I started watching American Idol several weeks ago for the first time ever. The only reason we watched it is because it ran into Fringe on our DVR. Well, we became totally addicted to it and have been recording it every week since.
Last night was so disappointing! I am so unhappy that Allison left. She deserved to stay and Danny totally deserved to get the boot - long ago actually. Danny must be paying people to vote for him because he is horrible. Now, don't get me wrong.. I think Kris Allen is the one that deserves to win, but it would have been nice if Allison would have been able to stay another week.
The reason we decided to keep watching was because we loved hearing Adam Lambert sing Mad World and I still think he is great, but over the last few weeks I have come to think that Kris is better. I sure hope he wins it in the end. Oh, and let me tell you.. if Danny wins this thing... I won't watch any future seasons.

making up for lost time
This is my third week back at work and it's been going great - until today. I have had the nicest customers and have, for the most part, enjoyed being here and helping my customers. Well, today is a totally different story. I am getting every attitude-filled person residing in Michigan today. It's not even lunch time yet and I am ready to go home. Is it Friday yet?

the big day
Elizabeth's baptism was perfect. It was a glorious day. She didn't cry, but her eyes did pop wide open when she felt the water on her head. My parents threw a party at their house after church and we all had a fabulous time - good food, good people, good times. I have a lot of photos from the big day, but have been too busy and too tired to even upload them let alone resize them and post them.

a little worried
Today is Elizabeth's baptism and I got a call from my mom last night saying that my sister and brother-in-law (the God parents) may not be able to make the trip this morning. Apparently my nephew started throwing up last night. Haven't heard anything since so I called my priest this morning to find out what our options are. I had to leave him a message and I am hoping he calls back before 8:00 mass. I have no idea what to do. Can we have someone stand in for them? Do we have to reschedule? Rescheduling would not make me happy because for one, and most importantly.. I hated waiting this long to have her baptized in the first place, but had to schedule according to when everyone could make it. And two.. my parents already ordered food and the cake for the party after. Of course, I hope that my nephew is OK, but this just sucks. I have been up ever since Elizabeth woke to eat at 5am. She went back to sleep at 6am, but I haven't been able to stop worrying.

8 weeks
Here are some pictures of Elizabeth from this last week. She is 8 weeks old. Can you believe it?
They aren't the greatest pictures because my camera is still in for repair so I had to use my phone. Tomorrow is her baptism so I will have some good pictures soon.

poker in the rear
I have become totally addicted to poker - Texas Hold 'Em to be precise. During my pregnancy my husband and I spent a lot of time watching WSOP on television and became hooked. Since then I have been playing online at Full Tilt Poker and also on Live Poker from my iPod. I just added Phil Hellmuth's blog to my blogroll and added him as a friend on Facebook. =) My new dream is to some day have the opportunity to go to the WSOP.
