So we got all caught on with season one and two of Heroes. It only took a few days. We flew right through those disks! We are so in love with the show. It's been difficult not being able to watch it over the last few days and we still have to wait a little over 3 weeks before season three starts! Then we have to deal with only seeing it once a week instead of being able to watch episode after episode on DVD. *sigh* I love Heroes.

I took a picture of my ultrasound picture from a week ago. Wanted to post it here. It's not the greatest picture, but there it is - our baby during the 13th week of pregnancy. Ultrasound pictures can be quite creepy some times, don't you think? Because of the angle, it looks like my poor child has no arms and barely any legs, but I assure you everything is there.

We finally found the baby's heart beat with our doppler tonight! Every time I get the doppler out, Jeremy rolls his eyes at me because he thinks it's a waste of time (only because we haven't been able to find it yet) but I found it tonight at 14 weeks 2 days pregnant! It's one of the greatest sounds in the world. We could also hear the baby moving around and kicking. So exciting!
Take a look at where we are going tomorrow! We are going to meet some friends half way between our house and theirs. We're going to take a cooler filled with goodies and throw some hot dogs on the grill while we're there. I will definitely have my camera so expect to see pictures before the end of the weekend.

My wonderful husband is on his way to register for school. He decided that he wants to go full time (mostly online, but some classes he will have to go to campus for) for CIS (computer information systems) with a focus on Network Security and some Web Development. I am so excited and so proud! I can't wait until he gets started. I know he's going to love it and feel great about what he's doing.

My 9 year old niece and 21 month old daughter playing outside this afternoon. My son was taking video with his little camcorder so he was trying to stay away from the water. As you can see, my daughter was all about the splashing.

Ah.. there he is. I made him drop in for a quick shot.

Even my husband joined in on the fun.

My husband caught an episode or two of Heroes a while back and said it was really interesting. He decided to rent the first season on DVD this weekend to see if we'd like it and boy, do we ever! I can't believe how good this show is. We can't stop watching it. We're three quarters the way through the first season and then we plan to rent the 2nd season to get completely caught up. Season 3 begins at the end of September so we have plenty of time. This has quickly become our new favorite show (which probably means it will be cancelled soon because that is just our luck).

Oh, no! I was blog surfing and ended up here and then started looking through blog designs and now I've got an uncontrollable "itch" for a new skin. I think it's been close to two years since I've had a new look here. I do love this skin though and it would be very difficult for me to replace it. I got the itch many months ago and almost let it take me down, but I was strong and made it through. Now it's back with a vengeance. Will I be victorious again? or will I have to scratch soon?
My youngest son, Evan, is gone for the weekend with my sister on their annual mystery trip weekend. She and my brother-in-law have given my son and their daughter a certificate for a mystery trip the last couple years in a row for Christmas. Then they choose a weekend during the summer to go after my sister finds a very cool place to go. This is where they are going this weekend : 2008 mystery trip (plus a hotel with an indoor water park!). Sounds like so much fun! I wish I was going!!
Jeremy and I have been thinking about where we would like to go on vacation for quite some time now. We have never been on a real vacation together. It's a seriously sad thing don't you think? Sure, we've gone on small family trips such as spending the weekend up north, but nothing really spectacular. With a new baby on the way, I think it’s time we did something about that.
We have always wanted to visit Europe together. I’ve seen so many pictures from so many different people who have been there and I am just dying to go. We have been thinking about what kind of agenda to plan for this vacation. We've decided, among many other things, that we would like to see a few shows while we are away from home and away from children. I found the best ticket hub site in Europe for concert tickets. It took me a while to find a good site and now I would like to share that information with you. The company matches buyers and sellers of concert tickets, sports tickets, theatre tickets and more.
My husband and I were going through the site together and found great seats at an unbeatable price for Stereophonics Tickets. Neither one of us has ever seen them live so we agreed that it would be a good show to see.

We also came across another show that we probably wouldn't think to see here in the States, but I think everyone should see Simply Red at some point in their life. Once again Viagogo had the best deal on Simply Red Tickets. You simply can't go wrong with this company! I've never found a better ticket hub site than Viagogo. It's like stumbling upon a ticket paradise.

We even found tickets that I didn't imagine we'd see for sale. I didn't know Barry Manilow was still around, but apparently he's still kicking and touring. Seeing Barry Manilow is not our style, but if anyone else is interested they are selling at an extremely fair price. Check out Barry Manilow Tickets at Viagogo.com.
Do you want to know what else I love about Viagogo? They also have a site for those of us who live in the States. This is quickly becoming my favorite site on the internet and has already been marked at the top of my favorites. I find my husband searching the site several times a day looking for new shows. You definitely want to pay a visit to Viagogo today. I promise you it is well worth your time.

Gabrielle got her cast off today! I know it was only on for 3 weeks, but it seemed like forever. She was getting around really well with it on (actually running through the house), but she is so happy to have it off. She was able to go in her sandbox today and play in the water outside. She had a blast! She also got to take a real bath this afternoon instead of a sponge bath and having her hair washed over the sink. She is one happy girl.
So, I had my ultrasound this morning before work. I'm 13 weeks pregnant today and the baby is doing wonderful! His/her heart beat was 150 beats per minute which is a good, strong heart beat. The baby was moving all over the place. No peek at gender yet so we'll have to wait another 7 weeks, but I'm just happy that all is well. I wanted to post the ultrasound picture, but I had to come straight to work so I will post it some time over the weekend.

.. had her baby today. They had another boy and named the poor child Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.
Why can't people name their children nice, semi-normal names?

So I decided to put a pregnancy ticker (countdown) on my site. I did it when I was pregnant with Gabby so I'm doing it this time also. I think it's a super cool one - not just a countdown, but it actually shows what the baby should look like as time goes on. It's over on the right side bar. Isn't it neat?
Well, we had a fabulous three day weekend! Shopping on Saturday was fun and we got everything we need for Evan to go back to school (clothes, no supplies yet - waiting for posting at school). The candle party on Saturday evening was so much fun and I got a lot of great things! I'm having another candle party at the end of October - sort of a Halloween themed party. That should be a lot of fun! On Sunday an old friend of mine, his wife and daughter came over. I hadn't seen him in about 12 years! We all had a fantastic time and look forward to getting together again soon.
Yesterday I went to my 12 week appointment at my OB's office. He couldn't find the baby's heart beat with the doppler, but I already expected that. The same thing happened when I was pregnant with my daughter back in 2006. It's because of my tipped uterus. I'm not worried and the doctor is not worried, but he is still sending me for a 2nd ultrasound on Friday morning just to reassure me that all is well. Hey, I'm not going to turn down an ultrasound. So that is my long weekend in a nut shell. I'm already looking forward to Labor Day weekend so I can have another 3 days off.

... minutes until I can get out of this place for the next three days! Friday's are always the longest day of the week. It drives me nuts. In the last six hours and fifteen minutes I've only handled 8 phone calls. It has been one slow-ass day. Come on eight o'clock!
Here is my three day weekend:
Saturday - Back to school clothes shopping in the morning, clean the house in the afternoon and having a candle party in the evening.
Sunday - Having a long lost friend, his wife and daughter over to visit and have a barbeque.
Monday - Doctor's appointment for me at 9:30 in the morning, orthodontist appointment for Evan at 11:45 and possibly more back to school shopping if needed.

Instead of doing a "Wordless Wednesday" today I am going to post lyrics to a song that my wonderful husband put on a mix disc he made for me. I love my husband more than words could possibly describe, but these words sure do say a lot.
Write You A Song by: Plain White T's
I don't know how to make lots of money
I got debts that I'm trying to pay
I can't buy you nice things, like big diamond rings
But that don't mean much anyway
I can't give you the house you've been dreaming
If I could I would build it alone
I'd be out there all day, just hammering away
Make us a place of our own
I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without you
I don't know that I'd make a good soldier
I don't believe in being violent and cruel
I don't know how to fight, but I'll draw blood tonight
If somebody tries hurting you
I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without you
Now that it's out on the table
Both of us knew all along
I've got your loving and you've got my song
I don't know how to make lots of money
I don't know all the right things to do
I can't say where we'll go, but the one thing I know
Is how to be a good man to you
Until I die that's what I'll do
I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you'll know from this song that I just can't go on without
I will write you a song
That's how you'll know that my love is still strong
I will write you a song
And you know from this song that I just can't go on without you

It's Tuesday again which means that Tori & Dean is on tonight, but it's the season finale ALREADY. WTF? Didn't this season just start? I only get a handful of episodes per season? That's so not fair.

My mother-in-law took both of the kids today so my husband and I went out shopping. We went to Target first and bought lots of new things for our house. New cordless phones because our one cordless was ancient and barely held a charge for an hour. We bought a unit that actually came with two phones so we have one in my husband's "man cave" now too. They are very sleek and nice and we love them. We also bought a new floor lamp for the living room and tons of stuff for our main floor bathroom. Then we made our way over to Home Depot and bought a new bathroom sink and medicine cabinet. I can't wait to get those in. Heck, it looks fabulous already with the new shower curtain, rod, hangers and the shelving unit we got. Plus we got matching towels, washcloths, a porcelain garbage can, soap dispenser and cup. I love remodeling and redecorating!

Here is our brand new dining room set:

Savannah Dining Room Collection. This collection includes a counter height dining table and counter stools. Maple hardwood veneer top with walnut inlay. Butterfly leaf table. Counter stools have microfiber cushions.
Regularly $999.00 at Art Van, but it was on clearance for $529.00 and my husband and brother-in-law just picked it up for $300 because it was a floor model.

Not only do I feel pretty good today and totally enjoyed my free lunch from Johnny Carinos, but I also purchased three tickets this morning to Rock Band Live just as I said I would. We got main floor tickets. I'm sure it's going to be a blast! Evan's first concert at ten years old - he's going to beat his older brother by 3 years. I didn't take Jamie to a show until he was 13. I can't wait to go!
Rock Band Live tour includes:
Panic! at the Disco

Dashboard Confessional

Plain White T's

The Cab

And today is Friday! How much more can one girl ask for?

Do you know what that means? Burn Notice is on at ten o'clock! It is the best of television at this point in time. My husband and I are completely addicted to the show. How could we not be? Have you ever watched it? It is so fantastic that even my parents (yes, both of them) watch it. It took them a matter of moments to fly through the first season on DVD...

... and now they're on to watching the 2nd season on USA Network with the rest of the world. You're missing out if you're not watching it too!
Jeremy and I started recording The Cleaner a few weeks ago and we love it! Benjamin Bratt is brilliant and the rest of the cast, although I've never seen any of them before, have fantastic chemistry. This is one of our new favorite shows - after Burn Notice, of course. If you haven't watched it.. tune in to A&E Tuesdays at 10/9C.
"The Cleaner," inspired by the true story of a real-life "extreme interventionist," stars Benjamin Bratt as William "The Cleaner" Banks, who, after hitting rock-bottom from his own addictions after the birth of his daughter, strikes a tentative deal with God. Now along with his unconventional team, he helps people get away from their addictions by any means necessary.

Our supervisor is buying us lunch on Friday! Guess where we are ordering from? Johnny Carino's! They have awesome food. The only unfortunate part is that I have to get my order in tomorrow for lunch on Friday. Being pregnant and having morning sickness doesn't always go well with food planning. I can change my mind about what sounds good (and what I can tolerate eating) thirteen times in a matter of five minutes. I hope it all works out and I feel good on Friday!
Last night's episode of Tori & Dean was fabulous! I cried just as I predicted I would, but heck.. these days I cry during commercials. It's the hormones. Anyone who's ever been pregnant or had a pregnant spouse can understand.
Almost half way through the week! I can't wait until the weekend. We're talking about possibly going to IKEA or perhaps somewhere a little more local to look for a new dining room table. The one we have is falling apart and the chair legs are starting to tear up my hardwood floor. It needs to go!

I'm so glad it's Tuesday! It is Tuesday, right? I've already got "pregnancy brain" and it's not a pleasant thing. It's like having temporary dementia - a preview of the Alzheimer's I will probably have in about 40 years.
Anyway.. Tori & Dean is on tonight!! I'm so excited. This is the episode where she has little Stella! I just know I'm going to cry!

Aww, look at Mimi LaRue... we miss you, puppy!

It's Monday once again. Blah. I have to admit that I'm having a slightly better day today than I did either day I was home this past weekend. I was so ill with morning [all day] sickness. I could hardly keep anything down yesterday. I will be so happy when it's done and over with. Hopefully only another couple weeks and I'll be in the clear. I think it ended somewhere between 12 and 14 weeks with Gabby. Sooner is better than later.

Here are a couple of pictures of my beautiful daughter, Gabrielle and her pink casted leg. Let's not forget her handsome big brother, Evan.

We must get tickets for Rock Band Live with Panic! at the Disco and Dashboard Confessional!! Also playing is Plain White T's and The Cab. Tickets go on sale next Friday and I am definitely getting three tickets. Why three, you ask? Because I'm going to take my son, Evan. He loves Dashboard Confessional and I told him I would take him to see them the next time they came to town. It's going to be a blast!

I just got an update from my husband. The doctor said he didn't see much on the x-ray, but since she is in so much pain when she tries to stand on it and when it is touched he put a hot pink cast on it for 3 weeks. My poor girl. He said she did really well and that everyone in the doctor's office loved her (of course).
I'm happy it's Friday! But I'm also very unhappy because my poor daughter might have a slight fracture in her leg. My husband is on his way to the orthopedic doctor with her now. Her pediatrician ordered x-rays yesterday afternoon, but wants the orthopedic doctor to look at the x-rays to see if she needs a cast. I can't believe it! She's not even two years old and she might need a cast on her leg. They said it's not uncommon for toddlers to fracture their leg in that spot because their bones are still not fully hardened yet. In fact, there is actually a term "toddler fracture" because of it. My poor baby girl.
