busy, busy
I went from doing nothing except being a mom for the last several months to being so busy my head is spinning. Evan has baseball tryouts today, tomorrow and Thursday evenings and I have a handful of job interviews over next two days. It may not sound like much, but it's a big change for me right now. It's going to take a lot for me to get used to getting up at the crack of dawn to go to work again also - especially with a nearly 5 month old daughter who still hasn't reverted to sleeping through the night again. But she's so darn cute, isn't she?

still up
I can't believe it's almost 5AM and I am still awake. I have too much on my mind to sleep and it doesn't help that I napped with Gabrielle from 5:30 to 7PM either. Blah. It looks like I will probably be taking quite a few naps with her today too.

still alive
Yeah, I'm still alive. It's been a rough week though. I don't really want to talk or write about it. Hopefully I will have positive things to write about in the coming week.

rice cereal
Gabrielle just had her first taste of rice cereal. I was going to wait until she was 6 months old, but she is so interested in our food when we eat and her tongue reflex is completely gone so we figured we would try it out. She LOVED it! I will add pictures later after I get them uploaded, but didn't want to forget to put this milestone down "on paper." She is 4 months and two weeks old today.
Ok, here are the pictures:

Gabby
Gabrielle had her 4 month check up today. The doctor said she is doing great. She had to get 4 shots again - 2 in each thigh. She screamed her little heart out. I feel so bad every time I have to take her there for shots. She is also really starting to shy away from strangers too. As soon as the doctor came near her she pouted her little lip and looked at me like she needed to be saved. She seems to be fine now - after getting the shots. I gave her Tylenol before the appointment and just about an hour ago. She has only been awake for about 30 minutes since we left the doctors office almost 4 hours ago.
Here are her stats from today and all previous doctors appointments. Look at how much she's grown!
4 months old: 15 lbs 6 ozs, 26 1/4 inches long
3 months old: 14 lbs 6 ozs, 24 3/4 inches long
2 months old: 12 lbs 8 ozs, 23 1/4 inches long
1 month old: 10 lbs 3 ozs, 22 3/4 inches long
5 days old: 7 lbs 13 ozs, 22 inches long
at birth: 7 lbs 12 ozs, 22 inches long

We went for a walk yesterday since it was so nice outside. Here are some pictures from our walk and some others taken recently.

michigan weather
It's 66 degrees here in Michigan today! I just took Gabrielle outside for a little while. She looked around at everything in amazement. It's the first time I've been able to take her outside without being bundled up in her car seat with a blanket over her. Unfortunately it's supposed to go down to 37 degrees by Friday.

my daughter
Here are some pictures of Gabrielle at 4 months old. Isn't she a cutie?

She's like, "can I help you?"...

I just happened to get her with her tongue sticking out....

She loves her swing when I push it faster.. an adrenaline junkie like her dad..

not much
Well, Rent was awesome! We had a really good time and the seats were great. It was a wonderful night out... and we needed it.
Other than that.. not much else is going on. I'm trying to find a job, but it's a difficult thing to do these days. It's funny how when I'm not ready to go back to work I get calls, but when I need to go back - nothing.

lottery
Well, someone won lottery because the jackpot is down from 370 million dollars to 12 million. I can tell you it wasn't us. We don't usually buy tickets, but when the jackpot is that large I just can't help but wish. It would solve a lot of problems, that's for sure.

my oldest, my youngest
I can't believe it. Today is Jamie's 17th birthday. I had just turned 17 years old nine days before having him. Time sure does fly by, doesn't it? Happy birthday, Jamie!! Don't do anything I did at your age. *grin*
Today is also the day that Gabrielle turns 4 months old. I will have to get her all dressed up and post some pictures of her later.. at a reasonable hour.. like when she is awake. I would be asleep too, but I have far too much going on in my head tonight.
Well, until then..

sixteen week pictures
Gabrielle will be 4 months old on Monday, the 5th. Here are some pictures I've taken over the last week - including pictures of the new pink Bumbo that her Nana brought over last night. She's really digging it. And she looks SO cute sitting in it. For a closer look at those long eyelashes check out the original size pictures on Flickr.

four?
I just realized there are only four entries on the front page of my site. That hasn't happened in a long time. I guess I will have to make up for it tomorrow. Gabrielle got her Bumbo this evening. Perhaps I will post pictures of her in it tomorrow.
