I know it's only New Years Eve, but I'm more excited about New Years Day. Jeremy and I are going to dinner at Red Lobster tomorrow evening - ALONE. No kids. Just the two of us. We haven't left the house together without children since before Gabrielle was born. The first thing I'm ordering is a Sunset Passion Colada. It's a classic frozen Malibu Coconut Rum piña colada topped with a taste of strawberry. Yum.

Jeremy and I watched The Wicker Man last night. We are both Nicolas Cage fans and assumed it would be a good movie. We were so wrong! It was total rubbish. I can't believe he would agree to do such a stupid movie. It was just as horrible as The Village, if anyone has seen that. I couldn't have been any more disappointed.

I need a new Resident Evil game! Why does it have to take so long between games? They don't even have a release date for RE5 yet. I also need a lot of money so we can buy a Wii, PS3 and xBox 360. Our next purchase will be the PS3. Playstation has the widest variety of games which will make it a good investment for the whole family.

I was looking on IMDB to see if there was any news about Underworld III being made. It's so easy to get lost in that site. I click on one actor and that leads to other actors and other movies and before I know it, I've been surfing the site for an eternity. Well, in my most recent search, I found out that Johnny Depp is going to be playing the role of Sweeney Todd. In case you don't know, Sweeney Todd is a broadway musical. The movie is being directed by Tim Burton. I am really looking forward to seeing it.

Oh, and there was nothing about a release of Underworld III, but I did read a few things about it that I found on Google. Kate Beckinsale will not be in the 3rd installment. From what I understand, it is probably going to be a prequel - before her character was even part of it. I'm not all that thrilled with the news. I really liked the first two movies. Why do they feel the need to go backward?

Incubus is touring again and they are starting their tour with smaller venues. They will be in Detroit on February 2nd playing at the State Theater. Do you want to know what the best part about that is? Jeremy and I have main floor tickets to the show! It was a Christmas present from Jeremy's dad. How cool is that?

Gabrielle slept through the night for the first time last night! She has been getting better and lately she sleeps from about 11pm to 4am, but last night she slept six and a half hours! She didn't wake up until 6am. I figured she would be wide awake after that amount of sleep, but she ate and went back to bed until 9:45. I haven't had this much sleep in months! Anyone that knows me, or has read this site for any length of time, knows that I didn't sleep well the last few months of my pregnancy. So, all in all, it's been about 4 months since I've had a full night of sleep.

Did you know that you can purchase gift certificates for eBay? I didn't know that until they sent me an email today. Why would they wait until three days before Christmas to advertise that? You'd think that they would let people know at the beginning of December.

It's difficult for me and Jeremy to watch movies in the evening because that seems to be the time when Gabrielle is at her worst. She's good most of the day and through the night, but I think she is over tired in the evening and fights sleep. Anyway, my point is.. it's a good thing that this movie doesn't require a whole lot of attention. It is a super stupid movie and not worth the money to rent. I like Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson, but they couldn't be any less appealing than they are in this flick.

Jeremy and I are going to see Rent at the Masonic Temple for my birthday. I can't even describe how excited I am! We have main floor seats, 7 rows from the stage. The show is the evening of March 7th and my birthday is February 24th so it works out really well for a birthday gift. Now I just need to be patient. It seems so far away.

I said that I was done Christmas shopping a week ago, yet I'm on my way out to purchase a few last minute things. I guess I spoke to soon. Today is not a good day to be out there, being the weekend and everyone else is out there, but I don't have much of a choice.

Jeremy rented An Evening with Kevin Smith: Evening Harder last night. We only got about 45 minutes into the first disc (because of Gabrielle), but it was hilarious, as expected. I am tempted to watch the rest before Jeremy gets home from work, but I will be patient.

I got a Christmas bonus in the mail today! I haven't been at work since October and I am not planning on returning to the company. They don't know that yet, obviously. What a great surprise! I love getting money in the mail unexpectedly.

I rented Scoop last night. It wasn't a huge release (I only know that because there are only a handful of copies on the shelf at the video store), but I like the cast and thought I might give it a try. I'm going to try to watch it this afternoon - if Gabrielle cooperates. I'll post my thoughts when it's over.

Update: Cute movie. Nothing too spectacular, but a good rent. I forgot how much Woody Allen annoys the heck out of me, but Scarlett Johansson and Hugh Jackman made up for it.

I am totally amazed at how simple it is to have pictures from my digital camera printed. I hate printing them myself because they always need to be trimmed and I can't stand doing that. I was finally going to break down and use one of those machines at CVS when my sister told me about Walgreens.com. It is so freaking simple. I just upload the pictures I want and an hour later I can pick them up at my local store. It couldn't get any easier!

I took Evan and Gabrielle over my mother-in-law's house yesterday after church. We helped her decorate her Christmas tree, made cookies and simply spent some quality time together. I had such a wonderful time. I'm really looking forward to the next time we can get together.

My Christmas shopping is done! I went out today while my mom watched Gabrielle. I am so happy that is over. I do have one more thing to get for Evan, but it doesn't come out until later in the week.

My mom, sister, aunt, me and Gabrielle spent the morning making Kieflies (a type of cookie, for those who have never heard of them) yesterday. It's been a holiday tradition in my family for decades, starting with my mom's great grandmother. It's a lot of hard work, but was a whole lot of fun. Here are some pictures I took...

Gabrielle was baptized yesterday morning. It went very well. She was a good baby through the entire mass - even when they poured water over her head. Here are some pictures that my sister took.

We also went to Sears Portrait Studio yesterday afternoon and had pictures taken of Gabrielle, Jamie and Evan. They turned out beautifully! I spent $130 and it was definitely worth it. I will scan them and post them here when I get the chance.

People say that you can't spoil a baby when they are newborn. I've come to learn that isn't true. My daughter is SPOILED. She screams her fool head off if she isn't being held. Now I have to try to fix the damage that has been done - which isn't easy. I have been letting her cry for a few minutes before picking her up. Well, my few minutes are up....
