Jeremy and I watched Superman Returns last night. It's amazing that we even got through the movie with Gabrielle around. She always seems to know when we are trying to spend time together while she is sleeping. Anyway, with a brief intermission, we managed to get through it and we both loved it. We agreed that Brandon Routh did an outstanding job playing the role of Superman. I hope they have another movie in the works.

Gabrielle is 3 weeks old as of yesterday and she weighs 10 pounds! My mom got on the digital scale and weighed herself and then held Gabrielle to find out how much she weighs. I couldn't believe it! She's my hungry, hungry hippo. *grin*

I actually left the house today without the baby. My mom stayed with her while Jamie and I did some running around. We were only gone about an hour, but it felt like an eternity. I need to get my nails done because I haven't gotten them done since about a month before Gabrielle was born, but I am not sure I am ready for that. I would miss her far too much.

I've got no time for writing here lately. Gabrielle is 15 days old now and she takes up most of my time. Sure, she sleeps quite a bit, but I still can't take my eyes off her. She is just too precious.
We went to church Saturday evening - Me, Gabrielle and Evan - while Jeremy was at work. It's easier for me to get ready throughout the day than in the morning. She was an angel during mass. It was a pleasant surprise. Father Joe came over and said hello. It's the first time I've been to church since a week before she was born. I set her baptism for December 3rd. My intention was to have her baptized at 10 o'clock mass, but they have something going on at that mass so I had to make it for 8am. It should be a whole lot of fun trying to get ready to be somewhere that early.

It's been an incredible five days. I can't stop looking at my daughter. She is so beautiful. So perfect. So amazing. We are truly blessed. I wish she could stay this small and sweet forever. I am reluctant to post more pictures because they just don't do her justice. She is the tiniest, prettiest little thing I have ever seen in my life. I wish a camera could capture what I see.
Her first appointment with the pediatrician was this afternoon. The doctor said everything is perfect. She weighs 7lbs 13ozs. She was 7lbs 12ozs at birth, 7lbs 10ozs when we left the hospital, so she has gained 3 ounces since Monday. Not bad at all.
OK.. here are a few pictures I have taken of Gabrielle since we've been home (and 2 that I took in the hospital).

Apparently the full moon worked. I went shopping with my mom on Saturday and when I got home my water broke. Gabrielle was born at 5:42am on November 5th. She was 7 pounds 12 ounces and a whopping 22 inches long. She is absolutely perfect. We are very much in love.
Thanks to Aunt Jennifer I have two pictures from the hospital to show. I am far too tired to upload the pictures I have taken at this point. Hopefully I will be posting some in the near future though.

Over the last week or so this has become nothing more than a "baby blog." Having this baby is all I can think about so please excuse me for writing nothing other than updates on my progress (or lack thereof).
I went to the doctor this morning because I thought I might have an infection after the doctor did her little "labor inducing" trick on me this past Wednesday. The good news is everything is fine. No infection - which is a good thing and really eased my mind. The bad news... no change. Still 2cm (and he said it's a tight 2 cm) and that he didn't see anything happening any time soon. GREAT. Just what I want to hear, right?
He said just to come in at my next scheduled appointment on Wednesday. I told him that was my due date and asked what would happen if there was no further progress. He said they will induce one week after my due date. I almost burst into tears when he said that and after he walked out of the room my eyes began to fill. I CANNOT wait another 12 days!! I just can't. I need to find out who my appointment is with on Wednesday because if it is Dr. Mullins, I know I can talk him into inducing sooner than that.
Maybe the full moon on Sunday will bring on labor. One can always hope, right?

Apparently this baby is going to be a stubborn little shit and NEVER COME OUT. It's really starting to get to me now.

No baby yet, but I have made progress since my last doctor's appointment. My doctor also did something, which I won't go into detail about, at my appointment this morning in hopes of getting things moving. So... hopefully soon!
