Jeremy and I finished season five of Six Feet Under in less than twelve hours. When we went to bed last Saturday night we only had three episodes remaining - which we watched as soon as we woke up Sunday morning. It sucks that the show ended there, but they did a great job with the finale. Most shows end leaving you wondering what happens to the characters (even though obviously nothing does, but.. you know how it is when you are hooked). Well, not this show. They actually show clips of what happens to each character and how they die. It was quite different.

Isn't this the greatest 3-piece luggage set in the entire world? I must have it!

Finally... Six Feet Under - Season Five is out on dvd! Sure, it isn't supposed to be released until Tuesday the 28th, but that didn't stop us from renting it today. Jeremy and I will be glued to the television for the next two days.

Wow, it's been almost a week since I was here. It seems like I have so much going on and yet at the same time nothing at all. I haven't been any busier than usual, but I just haven't felt like I've had time to write about anything. Honestly, I don't really have anything to write about. Everything is pretty much the same. Jeremy and I are doing well. Work is .. well... work. I did let Evan go to his dad's house this weekend. That's new. It's been about 8 months since he's seen his dad. Of course, I made sure all major things were covered before allowing it - heat, electricity and food in his house. I felt OK dropping him off. Things appeared to be "normal" over there. It's strange not having Evan home though.

The Taste of Chaos show was pretty good last night. We were disappointed to find out half way through the show that neither Dredg nor Thursday were on the line up for our date. I haven't had the opportunity to see Dredg yet so that was a total drag. I won't have the chance to see them either because they come to town the week we will be in Florida. Oh, well. Not much we can do about that. Other than that.. we had a good time.

Here is Jamie's version of my birthday wish to him:
My oldest son turned sixteen years old today. That makes me... want to buy him a Mitsubishi Eclipse. It's hard to believe that I haven't bought him a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Time goes by incredibly fast when you're driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse, doesn't it? I'm proud of him - even though I haven't bought him a Mitsubishi Eclipse. He's a great kid - even though he doesn't have a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Happy birthday, Jamie! I love you tons.
Here is the car he wants...

I have been extremely tired this week and haven't felt much like writing. I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I'm excited about Saturday because Jeremy and I are going to Taste of Chaos, but I am even more excited about Sunday because I don't have to do anything. That pretty much sums up how tired I am.

My oldest son turned sixteen years old today. That makes me ... still thirty-something. It's hard to believe that he's already sixteen. Time goes by incredibly fast, doesn't it? I'm proud of him. He's a great kid. Happy birthday, Jamie! I love you tons.
Here is my latest desktop. In six days Jeremy and I will be watching them perform along with many other bands at the Taste of Chaos show. Lucky us.

Jeremy and I watched a couple of movies this weekend. Here are my thoughts about them.
Prime: with Meryl Streep, Uma Thurman and Bryan Greenberg was not a good movie overall. It had potential, but the ending just sucked. It's funny how you can sit through an entire movie and not hate it until it's over. In my opinion, it wasn't even worth the time it took out of my day let alone the three dollars it cost to rent it.
On the other hand, Walk The Line with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon was an outstanding movie. I was hooked from beginning to end. I almost wish I would have seen it in the theater. Both actors did an extraordinary job in their roles. I really enjoy movies like this that tell the story about a famous musical artist. Perhaps I fell in love with movies like this because of Elvis Presley. Who knows? But it was a great movie. We will probably add it to our dvd collection.

I've got the "itch" to add a new skin to this site. Unfortunately it won't happen until next month, but I'm on the waiting list. I can't wait to see what Mel can do with the image I sent.

Jeremy and I have beaten the third installment of Silent Hill and have now moved on to the fourth. This is the strangest of the series. There are many things in this one that weren't in the rest. I guess you would have to play them all to understand what I mean. Anyway, here is a desktop from the fourth installment. As you can tell from this particular image.. it's in no way suitable for children. Hell, it's probably not suitable for adults either.

There are so many shows coming up that I want to go to! Jamie Cullum is going to be at the Royal Oak Music Theater on March 22nd, Panic at the Disco! is playing at Clutch Cargos on the 24th, and James Blunt will be at The State Theater - also on the 24th.
And, of course, there are tons of other shows that I would like to see. Like, Death Cab For Cutie on April 18th - but we will be in Florida that week so there's not a lot of temptation there. Dredg is also playing that week, but luckily I will see them at Taste of Chaos. Oh, and.. Alkaline Trio and Built To Spill are performing the week of April 23rd.
Geez! What's a music-loving girl supposed to do? I already have tickets to Taste of Chaos on March 11th and Gogol Bordello on April 9th.
Too much music, too little time.. and money. I don't know if I can pass up the Jamie Cullum show. I would regret that for a very long time.

Lauren Ambrose is on my desktop. In case you didn't know, she is "Claire Fisher" on Six Feet Under. I just thought this was a really great image.
