My car is going in the "shop" this evening for a thousand dollars worth of repairs. Well, it's actually about seven hundred in paint and two hundred in detailing. About a year and so many months ago my exboyfriend got into an accident while driving my car. The details of the accident were most likely fabricated because nothing is ever his fault. Anyway, the front end of the car was completely replaced and it looked like brand new. Problem solved, right? No.
A few months ago the paint job on the hood and front bumper started chipping and it now looks like shit. Even though it is only chipping on the parts of the car that were replaced, it's not covered by any warranty. The guy at the body shop says it's from stone chip damage and that isn't something they guarantee - even though it's ONLY chipping on the parts of the car that were replaced. Uh, huh. Whatever. So the money will be shelled out this time to make it look beautiful once again. That guy should pray it doesn't happen a second time.
